The Virginia Beach Police Department is commanded by Chief Paul Neudigate, who was appointed in 2020. Three deputy chiefs and a support division manager oversee the major divisions within the department.
This leadership team directs the members 1,000-member force who serve the residents and annual visitors of our community.
The chief and his deputies oversee the four major areas of the department:
