When officers are responding to incidents, it can take time to assess the situation and determine an appropriate response.
As soon as information is available, Public Affairs will notify the media and the public through news releases and statements, available in the Press Room.
Additionally, at least one officer who has received media training should be available to provide a statement at every scene of significance VBPD responds to.
