The VBPD Public Affairs Office (PAO) is dedicated to keeping the residents and visitors of Virginia Beach informed and engaged, particularly on matters of public safety. The PAO office is committed to timely release of information, within the confines of legal and/or investigative limits.
To reach our community, the office relies on our partnership with local media, our own social media accounts, our website, and newsroom. Check back frequently for the latest Department news and announcements.

The Public Affairs Office is managed by Chief Communications Officer Jody Saunders and includes Public Information Officer Jude Brenya and Media & Communications Coordinator Sarah Evans.
