The VBPD Public Affairs Office (PAO) is dedicated to keeping the residents and visitors of Virginia Beach informed and engaged, particularly on matters of public safety. The PAO office is committed to timely release of information, within the confines of legal and/or investigative limits.
To reach our community, the office relies on our partnership with local media, our own social media accounts, our website, and newsroom. Check back frequently for the latest Department news and announcements.
VBPD also loves to engage with our community in person. From Coffee-with-a-Cop to Community Advisory Committees, from Trunk or Treat to our many Citizen Police Academies, the Department is always looking for ways to connect. Visit our calendar of events to learn where our team will be next!
The Public Affairs Office is managed by Chief Communications Officer Jody Saunders and includes Public Information Officer Jude Brenya and Media & Communications Coordinator Sarah Evans.
