The Youth Services Unit offers multiple camps in the summer to give young people chances to interact directly with police officers in positive environments.

Camp Connect is a week-long camp for ages 10-15 held at the Law Enforcement Training Academy (411 Integrity Way).
Camp Connect is an immersive, action-packed camp for youths designed to build connections between young people and law enforcement officers through a series of activities, field trips, team challenges, and leadership-building experiences. By engaging youth alongside officers, the camp strengthens the relationship between our community’s youth and law enforcement. The cost is $150 per person.
Campers will also complete lessons from the Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence (LEAD) program.
VBPD partners with the Virginia Beach Police Athletic League to host this camp. Campers must be residents of Virginia Beach.
Camp Blue Line is a two-week-long camp for ages 13-17 held at the Law Enforcement Training Academy (411 Integrity Way).
Camp Blue Line is designed for young people interested in a career in law enforcement. Through hands-on learning, immersive activities, and mentorship from experienced law enforcement professionals, Camp Blue Line provides youth the opportunity to explore a wide range of careers in law enforcement. The cost is $275 per person.
Campers will also complete lessons from the Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence (LEAD) program.
